FOUNDER

LAURIE MAURER SHELTON

Born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI, Laurie spent childhood summers on her family’s farms. In the late 1980s, she  worked selling wine in Florida and in 1997 she married the now late Tom Shelton, and moved to the Napa Valley.

Now an expressionistic painter, Laurie lives in Napa, CA, with her new husband George Schisler. She works with color, painting primarily farm animals and figures.

Laurie’s art can be found online and in various locations around California and France.

WINEMAKER

JULIEN FAYARD

With more than two decades of winemaking expertise, Julien Fayard is one of Napa Valley’s most respected winemakers producing California varietals with French finesse. He believes in producing wines with an identity, exploiting what makes each one unique. Julien’s wines are a pure expression of their terroir, highlighting the specificities and characteristics of the fruit, vineyard management, soil and climate. He has a track record of building brands both in terms of quality and market presence.

Originally from France, Julien began his career as a winemaker producing quality rosé at his family’s winery in Provence. In Bordeaux he worked at Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte before relocating to Napa Valley. In Napa, he was Philippe Melka’s director of winemaking for a few years before launching his own projects.

Julien earned his Master in Agri-Business from ESA France and his Master in Winemaking from Toulouse France. In 2011, he received his MBA from UC Davis.

Vineyard management

DAVIE PIÑA

Farming in the valley for over 40 years, Piña Vineyard Management started with Davie’s father, John Piña Jr, working out of his pickup truck. The company has grown to manage many of the finest vineyards in the Napa Valley, including CAMi Vineyards.

Working as a team, Davie Piña, Justin Leigon, and Jose Luis make sure that our vineyard is farmed to produce the top quality grapes we desire for CAMi Vineyards wine. John’s noninterventionist winemaking philosophy is used to celebrate the style of land where the grapes are grown.

We are proud to work with them and deeply thankful for their dedication and expertise.
